TVN Entertainment has inked a deal to offer Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11 on pay-per-view the night before the election.
TVN reached the deal with Fellowship Adventure Group, an organization headed up by Miramax's Harvey and Bob Weinstein.
The flick is set to run Nov. 1 at 8 p.m. ET and 11 p.m. on the TVN PPV platform, a month before its full PPV and video-on-demand distribution window. TVN said cable systems with 1 million subscribers could have access to the film, which will carry a $9.95 price tag. TVN PPV affiliates include GCI, Mediacom, Blue Ridge Communications and some Adelphia Communications systems, among others.
A TVN spokesman said the event will be backed up with affiliate marketing support, including ad slicks, local press releases, and 30-second spots.
