The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) has organized a committee that will be tasked with determining a final slate of candidates for the 2005 Society election.

SCTE appointed the following to the committee: Wendell Woody, Wendell D. Woody & Associates, committee chairman; Larry Stiffelman, CommScope, committee vice chairman; Wayne Davis, Charter Communications; Rex Porter, Rex Porter Consulting; James Ludington, Time Warner Cable; and Cathy Wilson, Broadband Library.

Society members may also nominate candidates by submitting information via the Web by Oct. 1, 2004.

Seven seats on the 17-member SCTE board are up for election next year. Elected candidates will take office on June 14, 2004, during the SCTE Cable-Tec Expo in San Antonio.
