The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) has tapped Mike LaJoie as the program chair for Cable-Tec Expo 2005, set to run June 14-17 in San Antonio.

LaJoie, the executive vice president and chief technology officer for Time Warner Cable, will guide the Expo program subcommittee in determining topics and selecting papers for the '05 confab.

Expos typically draw more than 10,000 attendees and north of 350 exhibitors each year.
