Vonage has inked a deal to offer VoIP hardware and services in about 1,200 Staples stores.

There, Staples will offer Vonage starter kits featuring two Linksys devices: the Linksys PAP2 Phone Adapter and the RT31P2 Broadband Router. Both come with two phone ports. Linksys is also preparing to launch a 802.11g version with two phone ports.

Vonage has also formed a VoIP hardware partnership with Netgear Inc., which will supply a voice-enabled 802.11g wireless router and a wired two-port telephone adapter/router beginning in October. Netgear products for the Vonage service will also feature new versions of Texas Instrument 's VoIP and WLAN chipsets.
