SureWest cites FTTP growth in Q2
Surging fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) subs helped SureWest Communications post Q2 revenues of $52.1 million, up from $50.3 million a year ago. SureWest also recorded a profit of $1.6 million (11 cents per share), down from $2.7 million (19 cents per share).
The company said its FTTP network in Sacramento, Calif. served 32,000 revenue generating units at quarter's end, and generated revenues of $9.7 million. Subs to SureWest's 10 Mbps data services jumped 85 percent to 11,400.
