Comcast Corp. now has a game plan for the NFL Network, inking a multi-year agreement to add fledgling network to its digital cable lineup.

Beginning this month, NFL Network will sign on to the MSO's digital-plus package available to most of its 8 million digital subscribers in 24 of 30 NFL markets.

Part of the deal calls for NFL Networks to provide its Highlights on Demand extended video clips access to its NFL Films library in Comcast markets where video-on-demand has been rolled out.

"In addition to NFL Network's full slate of football coverage, fans will be able to enjoy extended highlights of every game, to watch at their convenience, with Comcast On Demand," said Matt Bond, Comcast's executive vice president of programming.

NFL Network's programming will include 54 preseason games in 2004, 22 NFL Europe League games, and sports commentary shows such as NFL Total Access, NFL Films Presents, Game of the Week and Coach Speak.
