SupportSoft Inc. has introduced a new product suite aimed at fulfilling the broadband needs of small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs).

The product, dubbed BusinessExpress, is designed to automate broadband installation and provide ongoing support and value-added services for SMBs, which constitute a large portion of the business market, according to SupportSoft.

"A good chunk of the world is composed of SMBs that have IT needs, but don't have the ability to have IT departments," said Marc Itzkowitz, director of product marketing for the company's digital service provider business. He added that BusinessExpress was designed specifically to address these customers.

According to SupportSoft, the new product suite enables simplified professional or self-installation options for the connection, as well as easier installation of value-added services such as anti-virus protection and Web conferencing.

SupportSoft said the product's multi-channel service delivery options, which include phone, personalized self-service and intelligent chat, give businesses the flexibility to choose the support channel that's best for them.
