Humax USA is introducing the new TiVo Series2 DVR with 300 hours of recording capacity.

The company said the new product, the T2500, would be available later this month at nationwide retailers.

The 300-hour T2500 model will debut alongside an 80-hour unit, the T800. Humax says the two products will carry MSRPs of $699 and $299, respectively.

Both will run the TiVo service and give users access to the normal TiVo features, including Season Pass and WishList searches. In addition, TiVo recently announced new Home Media features and online scheduling, which can also be used by its Series2 subscribers. These new capabilities enable customers to schedule recordings from an Internet connection and move content between two or more Series2 boxes in the home. The Home Media features allow subscribers to transfer digital music and digital photos from their PC to their home entertainment system.
