The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) has tapped a key group of CEOs and CTOs to speak at next month's Cable-Tec Expo, which kicks off June 15 in Orlando.
The CEO panel, to be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, June 17, will feature Jim Chiddix, chairman (now CEO) of OpenTV; Brian McFadden, president, optical networks, Nortel Networks; Robert Miron, chairman and CEO, Advance/Newhouse; and Carl Vogel, president and CEO, Charter Communications. Cable industry vet and author Paul Maxwell will moderate.
The CTO panel will follow at 10:30 a.m., and will feature Chris Bowick, senior vice president, engineering and CTO, Cox Communications; William Check, vice president of science and technology, NCTA; Wayne Davis, senior vice president, engineering & technical operations, Charter Communications, Marwan Fawaz, senior vice president of engineering and technology and CTO, Adelphia Communications; and Kenneth Wright, CTO, C-COR.net. Leslie Ellis, an independent analyst and CED contributor, will moderate.
