High-speed data, digital lead Insight in Q1
Insight Communications said revenues rose 11 percent to $238.8 million year-over-year, attributing the jump to stronger high-speed data and digital video penetration.
The MSO ended the quarter with 2.03 million revenue generating units, up 9 percent from a year ago. Insight also saw basic customers rise by 4,300, giving the MSO a total of 1,297,900.
Insight said it added 15,500 digital customers, 28,000 high-speed subs and 4,700 telephone subs in the quarter.
As of March 31, about 96 percent of Insight's customers were passed by two-way networks with capacity of 750 MHz or greater.
