Bresnan taps TVN for VOD rollout

Bresnan Communications is tapping TVN Entertainment Corp. 's content stable and distribution systems to further boost its rollout of video-on-demand services.

TVN will supply Bresnan with VOD content including KIDS Unlimited, HBO, Showtime, Starz and basic cable and specialty networks, plus distribution and management services.

Bresnan has launched VOD in Cheyenne and Laramie, Wyo. and in Kalispell, Mont. It plans to expand that rollout to 64 percent of its territory covering Colorado, Montana, Wyoming and Utah by the end of the year.

"TVN Entertainment's broad programming choices and flexible technology provide us with a turnkey VOD content, delivery and asset management solution," said Bob Hill, Bresnan's VOD manage, in a release. "Our customers are looking forward to the great entertainment experience VOD provides."

TVN also has signed recent VOD deals with Florida MSO Advanced cable and Shrewsbury Community Cablevision, a Massachusetts municipal operator.
