tComLabs said Alcatel became the first vendor to win Euro-PacketCable qualification for a call management server (CMS), a component considered the "brains" of a cable operator's IP telephony network. Alcatel won qualification for its 5020 CMS.

Following testing wave 14, the Euro-DOCSIS certification board also awarded Euro-DOCSIS 2.0 approvals to three Motorola Broadband models (the SURFboard SB5120E, SURFboard SBV5120E and SURFboard SBG940E). Scientific-Atlanta also won 2.0 certification for the WebSTAR EPX2203 embedded multimedia terminal adapter.

The Euro-DOCSIS Certification Board also added Portuguese MSO TV Cabo as a new member, extending the total to 11. Other members include Bosch Breibandnetze, Casema, Essent, Ish, NetCologne, NTL, Tele Columbus, Telenet, Telewest, and UPC.
