TVN Entertainment has inked a deal that will double its video-on-demand (VOD) transport capabilities.

The new accord will enable TVN to distribute VOD services via PanAmSat Corp. 's Galaxy 10R satellite. TVN presently distributes more than 1,500 hours of VOD programming to U.S. cable MSOs such as Adelphia Communications, Charter Communication, Comcast Cable, Insight Communications and Mediacom Communications.

"TVN has been a long-time customer and we are pleased that they have again chosen PanAmSat as their satellite delivery partner," said Michael Antonovich, PanAmSat's senior vice president, global sales and marketing, in a release.
