SeaChange, Net Insight, Kreatel partner on DSL VOD
SeaChange International, Net Insight and Kreatel have pieced together a video-on-demand system for DSL networks.
The companies are demonstrating the system this week at the TV over DSL confab in Paris. The integrated system includes Kreatel's IP set-top boxes, SeaChange's MediaCluster VOD server platform and Net Insight's QoS-sensitive Nimbra transport gear.
In other news, SeaChange promoted Ira Goldfarb to senior vice president, worldwide sales; and Stuart Lipson to vice president of content solutions. Goldfarb joined SeaChange in 1994 as vice president of central U.S. region sales, and most recently served as vice president, worldwide broadband sales.
Under Goldfarb, SeaChange's unified sales organization will pursue deals with broadband operators as well as broadcast and satellite service providers.
Lipson, meanwhile, will focus on helping networks and other content providers distribute their fare via VOD. Previously, he has consulted with a range of TV programmers and technology companies, including Court TV, Agency.com and Incanta.
