Gordy Halverson, a 35-year Arris vet, intends to retire sometime next year, the company said.
Halverson has held a variety of executive positions at the company, including CEO of Arris' TeleWire Supply division. Most recently, he headed up the unit's domestic sales and marketing efforts.
Among his industry accomplishments, Halverson was inducted into Cable Pioneers in 1992 and was bestowed the National Cable & Telecommunications Association's Vanguard Award for Associates in 1993.
Arris has restructured its sales division in the wake of Halverson's coming retirement. All sales now report to Ron Coppock, who was elevated to president of Arris Worldwide Sales. Coppock previously was president of Arris International Sales. He joined the company in 1997, following its acquisition of Texscan.
