Pace Micro Technology Americas said two major MSOs—Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks — have approved the vendor's DC-550 HD set-top for system deployments.

Both operators have already deployed Pace-built standard-definition set-tops in several markets. Pace's new Energy Star-compliant HD box features a 260 MIPS processor and 64 MB of memory, and both "zoom and stretch" control of standard- and high-definition content.
