The National Cable & Telecommunications Association is seeking technical session paper proposals for the 2004 National Show, set to run May 2–5 in New Orleans.
The deadline for written proposals is Dec. 15, 2003. Proposal submission forms are available on the Web. Once completed, they can be submitted via e-mail to email@example.com or faxed to Mark Bell, NCTA's director of administrative & technical services, at 202-775-3676.
NCTA Engineering Forum members and Forum Chairman Dan Pike, CTO of GCI Cable Inc., will judge the proposals.
NCTA said any topic of interest to broadband cable and telecom engineering managers is eligible, though topics of particular interest include low-cost terminal device designs, home networking, wireless' role in cable, DVR hardware and software design, bandwidth management, IP telephony, and conditional access/digital rights management.
NCTA will notify selected authors/speakers in late January.
