Insight revenues rise on advanced services, rate increases
Insight Communications said Q3 revenues rose 11 percent to $228.4 million, attributing it to gains in high-speed and digital service signups and basic rate increases.
Insight ended the quarter with 1,934,900 revenue generating units (RGUs), the sum of basic, digital, high-speed, and telephony subs, after adding 57,400. By service, the MSO added 29,000 high-speed subs, 23,500 digital subs and 7,100 telephony customers. Insight also lost 2,200 basic customers during the quarter.
"Our results this quarter were not as uniformly strong as we would have liked them to be. However, the leading indicators of future cash flow growth are very encouraging," said company President and CEO Michael Willner, in a statement.
