Convergys Corp. and Cox Communications have renewed and expanded their billing and customer care relationship. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Under the new five-year deal, Cox will continue to license Convergys' "ICOMS" billing and customer management software, but will also license "Infinys," a new billing support system designed to enable operators to offer multi-service bundling, pricing and billing for residential and commercial voice, video and data offerings.
Cox, considered one of the leading implementers of service combos, provides bundled services to about one-third of its customers.
"The value of providing these services to our customers in an integrated way has been demonstrated by our penetration rates and our industry-leading customer satisfaction," said Scott Hatfield, senior vice president and chief information officer for Cox, in a statement.
