CableLabs expanded its executive ranks this week by adding a new face to the mix, and re-welcoming another into the fold.
Cable's R&D house hired Jenifer Cistola as vice president of Go2Broadband, an MSO-backed electronic messaging service that helps consumers determine whether their local cable operator offers high-speed data, digital video and high-definition television services in their neighborhoods, and, if they are, place an order for the services they want.
Cistola most recently was vice president of product marketing at Scientific-Atlanta.
Ed Miller, meanwhile, has returned to CableLabs as chief network architect, where he will focus on defining new network architectures and lend his expertise to the development of the PacketCable Multimedia platform. Miller, who was director of PacketCable at CableLabs when he left in 2001, most recently was vice president, voice solutions at Terayon Communication Systems.
In their new roles, both Cistola and Miller will work within the Strategic Assessment Department at Louisville, Colo.-based CableLabs.
