Qwest Communications International Inc. announced that Sony Pictures Digital Networks will supply gaming and entertainment content to Qwest's DSL subscribers at no additional costs.

Qwest subscribers who choose the MSN Broadband portal that Qwest offers will find direct links to Sony's content. Qwest said subscribers who sign up for MSN Broadband via Qwest over the next six months can select Sony's Broadband Games Pack, a $100 retail value, or the Broadband Entertainment Pack, a $169 retail value, at no extra cost.

The Games pack includes online gaming sites for "Wheel of Fortune," "Jeopardy," and "Charlie's Angels," plus 30-day subscriptions to EverQuest and PlanetSide.

The Entertainment Pack includes a $5 gift certificate toward Movielink movie downloads, five music downloads from Sony Music, Screenblast tools and a 30-day subscription to Soap City.

"We believe that rich media content and applications will further drive broadband adoption and customer retention across the industry," said Michael Arrieta, senior vice president, strategic alliances, Sony Digital, in a statement.

Qwest said that consumers who purchase a home communications package or subscribe to Dish's America's Top 100 package through Qwest can get "MSN Broadband powered by Qwest" for 12 months for $29.99 (256 kilobits) or $34.99 a month for up to 640 kilobits.
