Insight Communications will flesh out its lineup of high-definition television programming with the launch of Mark Cuban's HDNet and HDNet Movies channels.
"With the continued delivery of our commitment to deploy HDTV, we feel the content of these networks enhances and adds value to our HDTV offerings," said Insight Vice President of Programming Terry Denson.
Initially, Insight will offer HDNet and HDNet Movies on its "HDTV Pak" to customers in Louisville, Ky.; Evansville, Ind.; and Peoria, Ill. The MSO also plans to roll it out to other markets where it provides high-def services, including Champaign/Urbana, Ill.; Galesburg and Bloomington/Normal, Ill.; Springfield, Lincoln, and Decatur, Ill.; Anderson/Noblesville, Ind.; Bloomington, Ind.; Lafayette/Kokomo, Ind.; Covington and Lexington, Ky.; and Columbus, Ohio.
Shown in the 1080i (interlace) format, Insight is marketing its HDTV programming package for $7.95 per month.
