Warner Bros. taps IP to distribute syndicated fare
Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution has partnered with Pathfire Inc. to store, forward and deliver syndicated programming to U.S. and Canadian broadcast stations over a digital, IP-based platform.
Warner Bros. will use Pathfire's Digital Media Gateway (DMG) to initially transfer off-network episodes of "Friends," "The Drew Carey Show," "ER," "Will & Grace," "Suddenly Susan," and first-run episodes from series such as "Street Smarts" and "Elimi-DATE."
Pathfire's DMG platform enables syndicators to deliver, track, manage and verify their programming, commercial spots and promos to broadcast stations.
