TVN Entertainment Corp. said it has scored a video-on-demand deal with ABC News, enabling TVN to distribute, encode and manage up to 50 hours of content per month from the news provider.

The deal marks TVN's first for broadcast network distribution, but expands the company's current arrangement with ABC Cable Networks Group and its stable of networks, including The Disney Channel, Toon Disney, SoapNet and ABC Family.

Under terms of the latest deal, TVN gets on-demand rights to programs such as Good Morning America, World News Tonight, 20/20, Primetime Thursday, Nightline, This Week with George Stephanopoulos and World News Now.

TVN's cable VOD customers include MSOs such as Adelphia Communications, Charter Communications, Comcast Cable, Insight Communications and Mediacom Communications.
