Mon, 05/12/2003 - 8:00pm
Core Networks (http://www.corenetworks.com) said it has secured "Platinum" status from the National Cable Television Cooperative (http://www.cabletvcoop.org), a designation that elevates the OSS provider to "preferred vendor" status.
Under terms of the arrangement, NCTC will deploy Core's "CoreOS" high-speed data provisioning and management system to NCTC members directly from servers based at the co-op's Kansas-based headquarters. NCTC represents more than 1,000 independent cable operators that serve a combined 14 million subscribers.
"We are looking forward to seeing significant increases in our members' deployment rates and the attendant reductions in expenses," said Mark Bishop, NCTC's senior vice president, hardware.
