Marwan Fawaz, chief technology officer of Adelphia Communications, has joined the board of directors of Digeo Inc., a maker of media center reference designs and interactive television services with corporate ties to Charter Communications.
Digeo's media center concept enables cable operators to distribute applications and programs to multiple TV screens. Motorola Broadband, Scientific-Atlanta and Sony Corp. have licensing relationships with Digeo.
Fawaz, who joined Adelphia in March, most recently was a technology investment specialist with the Vulcan Inc. Investment Management Group, another firm with ties to Charter and Paul Allen. Digeo is also backed by Mayfield Partners, Cisco Systems and AOL Time Warner.
