More specifically, Motorola Broadband (http://www.motorola.com/broadband) won EuroDOCSIS 1.1 certification for its SURFboard SB4100E model and 1.1 qualification for its BSR 1000RE CMTS. Toshiba (http://www.toshiba.com) was awarded 1.0 certification for its PCX2600 modem model.

To date, five cable modems from four suppliers have won 1.1 certification, and eight CMTSs from five suppliers have been qualified for the advanced spec, tComLabs said.

In related news, two German operators joined the EuroDOCSIS certification board: Ish and Tele Columbus. They join Casema, Essent, NetCologne, NTL, Telenet, Telewest and UPC.
