Maryland ops join AMBER Alert Plan

The Cable and Telecommunications Association of Maryland, Delaware and the District of Columbia announced that cable systems across Maryland will be available to transmit emergency messages as part of the nation's emerging AMBER (America's Missing: Broadcast Emergency Response) alert plan. Maryland's nearly 2 million cable households join a network of more than 150 radio and television stations capable of immediately communicating vital information about child abductions as they occur.
