Mag Rack, Rainbow Media Holdings ' budding video-on-demand service, has signed an agreement with LodgeNet Entertainment Corp., the world's largest provider of interactive TV services to hotels. A sample of Mag Rack's special interest programming is now available to more than 230,000 guest rooms in nearly 1,200 hotels nationwide, including The Ritz-Carlton, Radisson Hotels & Resorts, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, and Hilton Hotels, including Hilton, Hampton Inn, Doubletree and Embassy Suites.

The Mag Rack package for LodgeNet features titles from four travel-oriented video magazines: Wine World, Classic Cars, Motorcycle Freedom and Traveler's Guide.

"Mag Rack is the only VOD service that delivers original programming tailored to specific viewer audiences," said Steve Truckenmiller, LodgeNet's vice president, guest services, in a press release. "While hotel guests are familiar with the on-demand format, this new relationship with Mag Rack broadens our digital offerings and further encourages guests to use LodgeNet's digital interactive TV services."

Since launching in September 2001, Mag Rack has secured distribution agreements with major cable operators, including corporate cousin Cablevision Systems Corp., Insight Communications and Charter Communications.

Video magazines available at Mag Rack include such titles as: American Catholic, The Art of Basketry, Aviator's World, Better Golf Club, Classic Cars, Club Vegetarian, Cook with the Pros, Destination: Nature, History of Art, Inside Weddings, Mag Rack Kids Club, Maximum Science, Mission: Space, Photography Close Up, Shakespeare, SportsCamp, Tennis Zone, Total Ski, Total Snowboard and Your Next Car.
