Comcast buys into Broadbus

Video-on-demand vendor Broadbus Technologies said it raised "more than $12 million" in a series A-1 round of financing, led by Battery Ventures and Charles River Ventures. Comcast Interactive Capital was also among the other participating investors.
Broadbus, headquartered in Boxborough, Mass., is creating high-density video servers for cable and other broadband network service providers. The company has yet to announce any U.S. cable deals.
