Cablevision customers in Morris County, N.J., can now access an advanced suite of digital services, with the expansion of the operator's iO: Interactive Optimum digital services program in select Cablevision markets.

The improved digital tier being offered in New Jersey adds a more user-friendly interface and additional digital channels to a digital services line-up that includes video-on-demand, digital music and programming, access to a "Mag Rack" of specialty videos, interactive channels, and basic e-mail through the user's TV. The VOD service offered through iO is one of the most comprehensive in the industry, offering more than 600 titles from major Hollywood studios and custom content from HBO and Showtime.

The Digital Basic package is priced at $9.95 a month, and additional subscription VOD packages are available for a $4.95 monthly fee. The iO service will initially be available to more than 148,000 homes in the Cablevision of Morris system, which covers 29 communities across Morris County. Cablevision plans on expanding the iO service to the rest of its 1 million New Jersey customers later this year.
