Jedai Broadband Networks said it has fleshed out its executive team as the start-up prepares for future product deployments designed to extend cable plant into the business sector for high-speed data and voice services.

Leading the way is Jedai's new President and CEO Michael Pritz, the former vice president of marketing and product management at Clarent Corp. Before that, Pritz held senior executive positions at Antec Corp. (now Arris) and Tellabs Inc. James Walsh, previously a senior vice president at Motorola Inc., joined Jedai as vice president of business development; and Richard Graber has come on board as Jedai's vice president of engineering and operations, following stints at ViaGate and Dialogic/Intel.

The commercial footprint opportunity for cable operators is huge, Pritz said, estimating that 4.6 million buildings in the U.S. are "candidates" for cable drops.
