ADC Telecommunications said it shipped its 100th Cuda 12000 IP Access Switch to Adelphia Communications Corp.

Adelphia has deployed the equipment to six of its seven regions, including Los Angeles, Calif. To date, Adelphia has received 100 Cuda 12000 platforms and 1,000 DOCSIS modules, ADC said.

The Cuda 12000, which is comprised of cable modem termination system capabilities, was awarded DOCSIS 1.1-qualification from CableLabs this month following the completion of certification wave 21.

Overall, ADC said the CMTS/switch is installed in more than 300 systems.
