Clearworks seals $40 M deal; Charter exec on Cedar board

Eagle Broadband's ClearWorks Communications unit landed a $40 million contract to provide fiber-to-the-home technology and bundled digital services to Stone Gate Canyon Lakes, a 352-acre master-planned community near Houston. Eagle says revenues should reach $40 million over 25 years. …

Substantial Internet VOD won't roll out in the United States until 2005, a GartnerG2 study says. Even then, only 2 percent of movie distribution revenue will come from the service.
