NCTA calls for Cable 2002 technical paper summaries
NCTA is calling for summaries of proposed technical papers for Cable 2002 and for its 43rd volume of the conference series. The summaries, due Dec. 10, will be judged by NCTA's Engineering Committee members.
Favored topics include advancements in digital and optical broadband technology, with "special interest" in broadband server architecture, national-scale distributed computer networking, transactional bandwidth management, networked home technology, as well as other advanced broadband technology topics, NCTA says.
Cable 2002, the organization's 51st annual convention and international exposition, is slated for May 5 through 8, in New Orleans. The event will have an eight-session technical program and technical papers will be available then.
NCTA says it won't consider product pitches and previously published work, but it will take multiple entries from a system, manufacturer or person.
Summaries should go to email@example.com by Dec. 10. See cable2002.com for proposal submission forms, starting Nov. 1. Proposals and forms may also go to Mark Bell, director of administrative services at NCTA, firstname.lastname@example.org.
