Canal+ Elevates David Moss
Conditional access and ITV software vendor Canal+ Technologies Inc. has elevated David Moss to chief executive officer, claiming the move confirms its commitment to the U.S. market. Moss joined the company last year as its senior vice president of sales.
Moss, a former Motorola Broadband Communication Sector and General Instrument Corp. executive, succeeds Jean-Marc Racine, who was named executive vice president of marketing at the company's Paris headquarters. Meanwhile, Michael Balduzzi was named to take over Moss' slot.
In May, overbuilder WINfirst said it would deploy the company's middleware and conditional access system in Sacramento, Calif. before the end of 2001.
