Clear, a global supplier of optical, broadband and digital network management software, is partnering with Redback Networks to jointly offer customers enhanced end-to-end fault, performance and service level management capabilities in multi-technology, multi-vendor network environments. The agreement gives service providers with Redback technology a way to manage service level agreements, reduce network downtime, increase operations efficiencies and decrease maintenance costs.
Under the agreement, the companies will jointly offer the integrated solution that consists of the Redback SmartEdge multi-service optical platform, the Redback SMS platform, a subscriber management system and the Clearview product suite.
Additionally, Clear will integrate with the NetOp management suite to correlate network faults and alarms generated by the SmartEdge and the SMS platform to identify affected circuits and customers.
The integrated solution will enable service providers to implement a comprehensive platform to monitor the status of their network infrastructure for problems.
