Prime time for interactive TV

Broadcasters, content providers and software vendors are preparing for a revolution in the way consumers watch television. The developing interactive TV (ITV) array of services, which were being used by 14.9 million households at the end of 2000, will experience an explosive annual growth rate of 59 percent, totaling more than 244 million households worldwide by 2006.
