CableLabs makes key appointments
CableLabs appointed Paul Whitehead VP of strategic assessment. Whitehead will oversee assessments of new technologies, including technical, economic, public policy and strategic issues, CableLabs says.
The organization also hired Bernd Lutz as director of the CableHome project and Perry O'Neil as director of the Cable Industry B2B Interface Program. O'Neil will oversee CableLabs' initiatives involving cable operator and ISP relationships.
Raji Raman joins CableLabs as director of project requirements for strategic planning, where she will ensure feature and requirement definition processes are consistent. Anthony D. Sachetti is the new director of strategy development for the strategic assessment department, where he'll oversee, what else — strategy development.
Likewise, John Eng is new director of DOCSIS platforms, where he'll take the technical lead of DOCSIS 1.x and its evolution, CableLabs reports.
CableLabs' OpenCable project also added key people, including Jim Fahrny as senior security architect for applications programs and services, Frank Sandoval as senior software architect, and Joseph Weber as senior technologist for advanced platforms and services.
