C-COR.net will supply equipment to a broadband network in Indonesia, an HFC system passing 15,000 homes from two headends. The project is for Pt. Indosat Mega Media, a cable network operator in Jakarta.

C-COR.net will supply its lumaCOR amplitude modulation fiber optic headend equipment, naviCOR optical nodes, FlexNet 900 series coaxial cable amplifiers and its Cable Network Manager element management system.

In the deal, C-COR.net is part of a consortium, it says, that includes Fujikura Ltd. of Japan, supplier of optical fiber; Pt Sumitomo Indonesia of Indonesia and Sumitomo Corp. of Japan as general contractors for IMM; and Hong Kong's Pan Asian Systems, suppliers of signal distribution equipment.

IMM ultimately will expand the system to include more than 400,000 homes, C-COR.net says.
