The combination of NDS' conditional access software and interactive systems with the Nexperia family will create next-generation solutions for the digital consumer market.
The single-chip digital set-top box family of Nexperia Home Entertainment Engines will support NDS' Xtended TV and Random Access Scrambled-stream Protocol technologies. The integration of NDS' technologies and the Nexperia family will enable a completely new tier of digital subscriber services to be delivered on a single chip with a flexible media processor core and future-proof functionality. This partnership also marks both companies' commitments to create and support a new application in the PVR, advanced set-top boxes, digital TV and multimedia platform arenas.
