Allied Telesyn has created a tool for the small-office home-office environment: the AR240E and AR250E ADSL bridge router. The two products combine connection flexibility and security for shared high-speed connections and always-on convenience.

Combining the functions of an IP router and an ADSL modem into one unit makes for an efficient design with features useful for the SOHO environment.

The AR240E combines one ADSL port, one USB port and one 10 Mbps Ethernet port in a compact desktop unit. The AR250E packs an office-networking center into the same compact enclosure - one ADSL port, one USB port and a 10/100 Mbps 4-port Ethernet switch. The USB ports simulate an Ethernet connection, making them ideal for connecting mobile computers for NIC-free ADSL access, and the USB and Ethernet ports on the unit can be used simultaneously for office efficiency.

Allied Telesyn includes a Windows-based guided self-installation. And if self-installation doesn't work, the company also offers unlimited technical support.
