Linksys, a broadband, wireless and networking hardware provider, says its HomeLink Phoneline 10M Cable/DSL Router is now available.

According to the company, this is the first-of-its-kind solution and allows Ethernet-based computers and HomePNA certified phone-based computers and devices to network with each other as if on the same network. it lets all users share the same cable or DSL Internet connection, files, printers and other resources like scanners and CD-ROM drives. Linksys also claims that the HomeLink Phoneline 10M Cable/DSL Router is the only solution with firewall security that allows for the connection of a cable or DSL modem to a 10 Mbps HomePNA phone network.

The new HomeLink 10M Cable/DSL Router integrates the HomeLink 10M Broadband Bridge and the Linksys EtherFast 1-Port Cable/DSL Router. This hybrid solution is appropriate for new networking users who want to purchase an all-in-one device instead of having to purchase separate units.
