Sounds like the newest Pokemon creation. Actually, Web video company Eveo is unveiling EveoPublisher, the company's latest addition to the Eveo Video Platform, an integrated tool suite for building and managing video-enabled Web sites.
EveoPublisher is a scalable XML-based video publishing application that helps businesses to incorporate video into their Internet and Intranet sites. The EveoPublisher can be used both as a hosted application for building custom video-enabled Web sites, or to host and manage quantities of existing video clips.
Eveo cites US Bancorp Piper Jaffray research as predicting the number of streaming media Web sites increasing from 100,000 today, to over one million by the year 2003.
"Rich media content will grow at the rate of 150 percent per year over the next three years. There's a tremendous need for simple tools to customize, distribute, manage and monetize Web video," said Eveo founder and CEO Olivier Zitoun, in a statement."With EveoPublisher, the Eveo Video Platform offers a simple full-service solution for the Web video deployment process. EveoPublisher lets any organization feature compelling streaming media to advance its business and revenue goals."
According to the company, EveoPublisher can help companies cost-effectively include video online in an effort to increase sales, attract new customers and retain existing ones. Firms can deploy streaming media to enhance their marketing efforts, feature product and service demonstrations and conduct online promotions. Video is also useful for corporate communications and training initiatives.
