Cannes, France will surely add glamorous inspiration to the Milias 2001 content creation and distribution conference Feb. 10 –14. Showing some inspiration of its own, OpenTV will be demonstrating its interactive television applications for the lucky attendees. Visitors to the OpenTV booth will be able to see live feeds from interactive television services across Europe.

The interactive television and media solutions company will show its Internet browsing technology and services such as TV-commerce, e-mail, sports, news, weather and entertainment. Recently, OpenTV has inked deals including OpenTV Publisher to BSkyB in the U.K., an interactive soccer application to Via Digital in Spain, ARD in Germany and Multichoice Hellas in Greece.

Visitors to the OpenTV booth will be able to see live feeds from interactive television services across Europe (TPS in France, BSkyB in the UK, Stream in Italy and ViaDigital in Spain) as well as see demonstrations of proven and compelling sports, news and Internet services.

According to the company, OpenTV software has been shipped with or installed in more than 11 million digital set-top boxes worldwide and has been selected by 38 digital cable, satellite and terrestrial communications networks in over 50 countries.
