For its customers' viewing pleasure, TriNexus is using Tvia's CyberPro 5055 processor in its broadband set-top box. The TriNexus set-top lets subscribers see TV programs and Internet and interactive content seamlessly displayed on their standard TVs.

The TV Postman uses the TriNexus architecture for next-generation set-top boxes for network operator branded applications. This architecture becomes the link between a subscriber's TV set and a network to enable delivery of a broad range of services and a wide degree of interactivity. Potential bundled applications and subscription services include e-mail, instant messaging, video mail, TV listings, interactive gaming, news, sports and weather delivery, and TV e-commerce.

"Tvia 's streaming media processors allows consumer electronic manufacturers to provide set top boxes and digital TVs that deliver broadcast quality television and make interactive/Internet content easy to access and use." said Vahe Akay, Tvia's vice president of marketing, in a statement.
