VNI goes glam
Video Networks (VNI) is shedding its old image for a new Hollywood persona. The digital media applications provider has opened an L.A. office and will be changing its name to Pathfire.
The company has opened this office close to the entertainment industry to create digital syndication and digital cinema. VNI said that the convergence of broadcast, cable and the Internet has led to demand for syndicators and motion picture studios to digitally distribute original content. As the company has secured $66 million in new financing, there appears to be some shared belief in this demand.
"We'll tailor our desktop applications for their [studios and syndicators] specific industries to help manage and distribute their digital content to our existing network of media outlets," said VNI vice president Brian Godinez.
