Swiss cable subs will soon be going digital. Tandberg Television, a supplier of digital broadcasting technologies, will help Switzerland's largest cable operator, Cablecom AG make the jump to a digital broadband network, playfully dubbed SWISSFUN.

When SWISSFUN is ready, slated for 2Q 2001, more than 1.4 million subs will get pay-per-view, near VOD, e-mail, e-commerce and home banking.
