SeaChange's new ITV MediaCluster 4000 (IMC4000) video server combines simultaneous video streams and video assets in a rack system that's only seven inches high. Ten densely packaged IMC4000 servers on a single rack will let cable operators deliver VOD programming to 20,000 subs from more than 1000 feature length movies.

The open architecture of the IMC4000 allows the addition of servers to a rack and racks to a system. And a single copy of any video piece can support thousands of simultaneous viewers. SeaChange estimates a savings of more than $100 per stream with this technology.
