Mon, 09/18/2000 - 8:00pm
Rogers has bought Cable Atlantic for $232 million, getting 75,000 subs in the deal. Rogers scrapped its plan to take over Groupe Videotron, Quebec's largest cable operator, and walked away with a $241 million penalty fee from the Montreal company.
The acquisition brings the Canadian MSO's sub base to more than 2.3 million.
